Young eyelids

Our eyes reflect, more than any other area of the body, over the years. The excess of skin, the bags of fat that protrude from our eyelids and the dropping shape of them are unequivocal signs of aging. Luckily, there are surgical techniques to give the eye its youthful and lush appearance. These techniques can be included with the term blepharoplasty and it consists of eliminating the excess, correcting the bags of fat and falling of the eyelids.

This surgery involves removing the excess skin, correcting the bags under the lids, improving the tension of the orbicular muscle and raising the fallen tissues.

The changes produced by blepharoplasty are impressive and it has become one of the most demanded surgeries today.

Upper Eyelids:

By means of an incision the excess of skin and fat bag is removed. The muscle is repositioned and then closed with a very fine suture.

Lower Eyelids:

There are two techniques:

INTERNAL .- When there is no excess of skin but the "classic bulging under the eyes" is observed, an incision is made in the conjunctiva through which the adipose bags are removed or repositioned. This technique has as an advantage a faster recovery and has as a benefit that it does not leave external scars.

EXTERNAL .- When there is excess skin is made to make an incision just below the line of the eyelashes and proceed to remove the excess and correct the fall of the orbicular muscle. Afterwards, very fine sutures are placed.
