Sculptural body

Lift the skin and fat of the abdomen, strengthen the rectus muscles and reshape the waist. The incision is made ensuring that the scar is covered with underwear. Only in patients who require a great extirpation, the scar, longer and horizontal, is low and can be visible with certain types of underwear. It is increasingly common to combine liposuction with lipectomy, thus reducing abdominal fat and flanks (love handles) and a more defined figure.

Objectives of lipectomy:
→ Remove leftover skin and fat.
→ Strengthen the musculature.
→ Leave flat belly and redo the shape of the waist.
Usually, lipectomy is performed under general anesthesia.

Post-operative and recovery After a lipectomy it is usual to refer a feeling of tightness, which disappears in a few days, because the abdominal muscles have been reinforced. It is necessary to use a band for a couple of months after the intervention and massages in the area to facilitate skin elasticity. A decrease in sensitivity in the area is usually noticed, which disappears with time. In very obese patients, scarring may be delayed, especially in the suprapubic area. Although it can be somewhat annoying, it resolves spontaneously. The operation requires 2 nights of income. Afterwards, rest is recommended for 7-10 days.
